hansgruber Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Native mentality. Disrespect anyone in the tribe and it can get you killed. The gun just replaced the spear. 2

inzman Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Denied bail for murder? That's a twist. Most high profile murderers get out on bail I've noticed, must be poor. 2
ClutchClark Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Native mentality. Disrespect anyone in the tribe and it can get you killed. The gun just replaced the spear. In a tribe, lone wolf actions do not exist. The decision for punishment would be determined by an elder or group concensus. This was more the result of being under the influence of a Class 5 drug combined with the all-too-common Thai male who is raised in an environment of absolute privilege by his family to think he is a King. Meanwhile, Thai women are raised in an environment to believe they are worth very little and face far worse injustices than a foot in the face as a matter of due course. 1

phantomfiddler Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 When you buy a motorcycle here I believe it is an optional extra 1
waynethor Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) I assume he's Burmese. After all, the General has told us that Thais can't possibly do things like that. I wonder if the General is intelligent enough and honest enough with himself to lay awake at night thinking, "Gosh, I really do say some unbelievably stupid things." Or maybe he's really so naive that he actually believes the things he says. Cops beating the crap out of a volunteer who only beeps his horn at a car being driven in what sounds like the usual completely inconsiderate manner that's typical here. I'm afraid this country seems to be in a tail spin, and the General is the pilot. I'll ask once again for somebody to please tell me ANYTHING truly positive that the General and the nodding cronies he surrounds himself with have done to improve Thailand. RIP to the victims. He had a plan. Maybe he was an American You would be surprised at the number of Thai people that own and carry weapons with them. At a meeting once and a thai wanted something out of his bag and in order to get to it he had to remove his gun. Well the gun ended up on the table for the meeting, the Thai's thought nothing of it but the few foreigners present were surely shocked. 1

He had a plan. Could you please define 'normal' ? As quite many Thais carry a gun under their motorbike's buddy seat, you would be surprised! And that's why that is the first thing that the police check at a road block.
Andre0720 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Mother's-in-law should show lots of love to any son-in-law who carries a gun....

Normal can be defined as the area falling under one standard deviation in either direction from the mean peak, so 34% either way. Covering 64% of the distribution, I'd say thats large enough to be considered normal.
