15 years olds arrested & Marijuana seized following Central Pattaya Bag Snatch

PATTAYA:--On Tuesday Morning a 41 year old Russian Woman was caught-up in a bag snatch as she left her Central Pattaya apartment.

The incident occurred in Soi 2 off the Central Pattaya Road close to a Bangkok Bank branch. The victim was leaving her apartment and was on her way to Pattaya Beach to meet friends when a Thai man came up beside her on a motorbike and took her handbag which contained 3,000 Baht in cash and personal items.

The woman went straight to Pattaya Police Station to report the crime. She was able to remember the license plate number and make of the motorbike the assailant was using and it was located by officers in Soi Potisan in North Pattaya.

The bike was parked outside of a small house and inside was 4 youths aged 15 and 16. A quantity of Marijuana was seized and a number of women’s bags were found, including the bag belonging to the Russian woman.

Remembered the make and license plate number !

My respect to this woman for remaining calm under pressure.

And my respect to the RTP for their role in apprehending the young thugs ( todays young thugs are tomoorows adult murderers).

Given the lady was leaving her apartment according to the "press" report there is a chance she is an expat and may have learned how to recognise Thai characters, now make and model of bike impresses me.

Try looking at the numberplate on the back of the police pick up truck in the photo of the arrest, notice the number on it same as on all Thai numberplates uses Arabic numerals, the same type used in Russia. Absolutely Amazing that you failed to notice this !!
