Immigration Bureau strictly monitors and deports foreign nationals involved in criminal activities

BANGKOK, 29 October 2014 (NNT) - The Immigration Bureau has announced that it will intercept all foreign nationals who are involved in criminal activities from entering Thailand’s Deep South by stationing police at various immigration checkpoints.

Police Major General Warawut Tawechaikarn, the Commander of the Immigration Bureau, declared that the bureau will take precautionary measures to prevent Indian fugitive terrorist Jaktar Singh Tara from sneaking into Thailand after he has escaped from prison.

Immigration police are now keeping a close watch for all foreign nationals entering the country and would immediately arrest anybody who matches Mr. Tara’s physical description.

Meanwhile, the Immigration Bureau has also announced it has arrested four other foreign nationals who have been involved in criminal activities and have been taking refuge in Thailand.

Among those four include two German nationals who are Mr. Ferdinand Mittendorfer and Mr. Dietrich Steindorff, both of whom are convicted of fraud. The latter is also responsible for patent infringement for more than 7,741 cases and caused losses up to 12 million baht to his victims.

The third person is Mr. Constantine Saresky, a Russian national who has been involved with extortion and is also a doctor. Lastly, the fourth person is Mr. Marc Glossen, a Belgian national who has been charged with drug trafficking. All these four suspects will be deported back to their home countries to face trial for their crimes.

But the Immigration Bureau is part of the Royal Thai Police....Immigration officers are police officers. Who they got at the checkpoints now? Maybe security guards like you see at the malls?

"Those foreign characters are moving into occupations reserved for Thais hence the current action"

Woe, woe and thrice woe, the negativity here is almost overwhelming at times...

Post after sarcastic post whinging about the "quality tourists" and how it is "so easy" for the criminal faction to buy their residence here in Thailand, once there is some positive news that the Immigration Bureau is actually taking some action what do we get? More whinging about Thai criminals being ignored or displaced...

When will you people ever grow up and appreciate something straight forward and positive when it happens?

Some (alleged) foreign criminals have been expedited to be brought to account for their crimes, why can that be seen as anything other than good???

Maybe it's because the "straight forward and positive" always turns out to be a wave and not the water.

What do you suggest Immigration police should do with Thai criminals?

Attention guys, all Thai criminals no need to have a work permit, so that's why immigration and police no need to catch themes,

Only foreigners

For some unfathomable reason, you blokes persist in forgetting that you are "foreigners", and "tolerated", long-term guests in the "Kingdom" of THAILAND ; not the EuroZone or North America, where you actually have an entitlement , to a modicum of civil rights.coffee1.gif

Yes, but only due to the general incompetency levels, historically demonstrated by Thai menfolk, in particular. The chickens will really be coming home to roost (on those blokes), when ASEAN (AEC) arrives in 2015.

Interestingly, there will be a horde of other SE Asian "farangs" coming to Thailand, who will make the RTP's dealing with the western "foreign" criminals, look like a Sunday School picnic, by comparisoncheesy.gif
