A recent thread about a Phuket overstayer, who was jailed for a visa breach, was closed after warnings were given about disclosure of his identity. This was despite the fact that local media had already published his picture and ID.

I know of at least three previous threads about expats being arrested for overstaying, and their pictures and full names were printed in the threads on Thaivisa.

Has the policy changed or is it because this case involved a high profile person in the community?
