iReason
I used to love parades when I was a kid. But, they were much nicer then. Everyone was smiling with "Happiness"

terryp
There has and continues to be too much talk about tourist safety on Phuket……they obviously know something that they are not talking about As for this parade of Muppets, I thought under martial law public gatherings were outlawed
KarenBravo
As they were "parading", it would have been a great time to commit a crime. No police anywhere else on the island. Totally alien thought processes going on here.......
rasmus5150
You really have to admire the excellent physique of these fine police officers. I especially noticed their protruding muscles just above the belt. It is nice to hear that the police will help with traffic jams, because we all know how effective they can be at checking our cars and wallets at checkpoints so the traffic will run smoothly without clogging......

madmitch
"...to make tourists feel more safe?" Who comes up with these ideas? I'd feel the exact opposite. Police presence in tourist areas should always be low-key as it can be off-putting.

Jonmarleesco
Any tourists in evidence will likely wonder what the hell is going on that should require the presence of so many police. The remainder will know nothing about it. And everyone will question what the show of strength will prove worth when push comes to shove.
emilymat
How many had the obligatory parachute wings on the uniform. ? It certainly seems to be a status symbol here in Patts.
