Getting an extension

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've been in Thailand for 2 years, I've done extensions based on my marriage twice already, but I'm now under the 400k in the bank due to buying a rice harvester, my extension expires in February, will I be able to get any further extension at the Immigration office, I've heard that they do a 1 or 2 month extension, if so are you limited to how many times you can do this and what are the requirements, I was hoping to be able to do this a couple times before having to go to Savanneket.

Thanks everyone

if you are going to have to go the Savanneket, in my mind its better to go now while they are still doing the multi entry non 'O' , maybe things will change in the future, a non 'O' will give you 17 months here including a 60 day extension on your final entry

You can get a 60 day extension at immigration for "visiting your Thai family". No financials are required. You need a completed TM& form with 1 picture, copies of the bio page of your passport, visa page, last extension, entry stamp, TM6 card (departure card, your wife's ID and house book and 1900 baht. Most offices will allow you to do 1 extension /entry.

Are they planning on stopping the service at Savanneket?

No

They have been doing them for a long time now and I don't expect that to change any time soon.
