Re Entry Permit + 90 Day Report at the airport?

Featured Replies

Hi does anyone know if i can do my 90 day report at the airport and apply for a multiple re-entry permit at the same time? my 90 day report is due on the 25th and i am leaving to India on the same day.. if not can i do both at Chang Wattana?

Thanks

Passing through immigration control resets the 90 day report requirement..

So you would only need to report 90 days after you return to Thailand.

You should be able to get a re-entry permit at the airport, but to be honest I wouldn't want to risk the desk being closed and would get it from an immigration office in good time.

thanks Satcomlee.. but wont i get a problem when i get back as i didn't complete the last 90day report?

Yes, re-entry permit is available at the airport, and as indicated already, 90 days report is not required anymore for you since you leave on the reporting day. So the count for the next 90 days start again on your re-entry date.

Since you will not be staying longer than 90 days you will not need to do a report which cannot be done at any airport. Your report will be due 90 days from the date your re-enter the country.

You can get a re-entry permit 24 hours a day at either airport in Bangkok.

At Suv you will be charged 1200 baht becasue they do the form, photo and etc for you. The desk is located just before the desks at the normal immigration area (not fast track).

AT DM it after the desks at the overstay office.

it's more expensive to get a re-entry at the airport also not sure if it is 24/7

Best to get it b4

thanks everyone.. the problem / confusion I have is that my 90day report expires on the 18th, but my passport is in the Indian embassy until the 24th.. i understand i have 7 days to make the 90 day report.. so 18th + 7 days = 25th.. i don't want to have any problems at the airport or with immigration as i have had my one year visa for 15 years smile.png

They don't check for 90 day reports at the airport. Most people take the last report receipt out before leaving.

Actually you only have until the 24th to do your report. They count the report date in the 7 days.

You will need to do your report before you leave. The 7 days does not apply for not making the report because you are leaving.

You can make your report up to 15 days early. But if your passport is already at the embassy it is to late for that option.

Why so long to get a visa there?

You could make your report after you get your passport on the 24th until 6:30 pm at the Suksawat or Lad Phrao offices.

The re-entry permit desks at the airports in Bangkok have been reported several times as being open 24 hours a day.

thanks ubonjoe.. yes its a bit of a problem as i need to pick up my passport / visa between 4:30 - 5:30 on the 24th.. in Asoke, that does not give me much time to get anywhere.. LadPhrao maybe on a motorbike.. :) i may have a chat with Immigration here in Hua Hin and see what they say..
