actually they are not forced to have any special unit but I guess we are talking here about a top noch approach of a private hospital competing in the lucrative health market and so they do require a one stop solution will all kinds of specialist not limited to basic needs

Just went there today for an executive physical. Great experience with great staff/equipment and 30% less than Bumrungrad. Also got a flu shot. Could I have gotten a better value at Ram? Maybe, but I'm happy.

30% less than Bumrungrad can still be a lot higher than any other hospital in Chiang Mai. If money is no object then great. But most people like to know the ball park price. They know they are paying out of sight costs at Bumrungrad. But still cheaper than Western.

I had a hip replacement at the hospital across from the Holiday Inn total private room included 183,000 baht. Bumrungrad web site 450,000 baht.

30% less than Bumrungad still means 50 % more than anywhere else laugh.png

My partner got a brochure from their marketing people when she was out the other day. 6,900 THB for a standard room and 14K for a VIP room!

Standard room at RAM is around 1,800 baht o/n, Flat screen TV,Fridge, views over Doi Suthep !

Well that's what we just paid. Me in bed ,wife on the couch !

Can u guys be patient ? It's just a soft opening until now. I agree until now it's disappointing but let's judge in 6 month

I already made my judgment when I saw the post by electrified.

"6,900 THB for a standard room and 14K for a VIP room!"

It will take a lot longer than six months to make those prices look good to me.wai.gif

She said the breakdown was something like this for standard:

Room = 3,200

Nursing Fee = 1,800

Service Fee = 1,300

Meals = 630

Total = 6,930

Actually, if you check that link, 630 is for Thai food. Japanese/Western/European food as they call it is 1200 per day.

At Rajavej someone can nip down to the cafeteria for decent Thai food 40 baht

I can see Bangkok Hospital becoming a White Elephant, those prices are..........stupid!!

My all in private room with nursing and meals for the cheaper private room at Rajavej was 1,800 a day. I believe the expensive one was 2,200 a day. I got to admit it the food wasn't bad. How ever it was a plain Jane Breakfast.
