I was having trouble accepting this news report..... then I realized this is Thailand

Police called to incident of a man running amok with a machete.

Man is berserk after listening to too many mediation CD's

Officer arrives at the scene and the berserk man comes toward the officer

The officer draws his gun and shoots himself in the foot.

The berserk man seeing the officer down, charges at the officer.

Officer fires another shot and hits the berserk man in the leg,...... but also hits another officer who came to assist.

Recap: 3 down...... 1 berserk man and 2 police officers.

As Paul Harvey used to say ......... "and now you know the rest of the story" .........do we really ?????

PS Now think back a couple years....... who was it ???? the son of which politician??? that after killing a undercover police officer, was put in charge of weapons training at the police academy ?????

I'd like to, but we are not allowed to mention that media outlet,,,,,, but maybe I can give you a hint, it was a police incident I think in Surat Thani this past Wednesday if one were to google it.....

I might be mistaken but I was under the impression the police here had to purchase their own gun.

Me being a police volunteer here in LOS, as yet I have never seen a cop with a revolver, perhaps not trendy enough.

Whilst doing my own training in the UK a guy next to me, using a semi, put a round in the dirt near my foot . Not much can go wrong with a revolver, or shouldn't.... .
