Diary of a farang in Isaan
I assume Owl was hounded for his posts on other threads as this one was one of the few threads on here that didn’t really need moderating. A great shame to have lost this thread, and Owl + family of course, will be missed by many. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
The key factor to consider is the income tax requirements. I believe an individual becomes liable for income tax in Thailand after staying in the country for 180 days or more, unless a tax treaty applies. However, it’s relatively easy to circumvent this by leaving Thailand and returning before reaching that threshold. It will be interesting to see how this situation evolves. Here are more details on the tax requirements: https://www.expattaxthailand.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/FOREIGNERS_PAY_TAX2024.pdf -

how much ground is left on the 'beach' side anyway most of the building seem to be on piers already they shouldn't pour money into improvements of the area unless they can clear up the legal status of those lands -

Opinion: A Trump Peace Plan for Ukraine: A Vision for Victory and Stability
Ah, but the difference is there was a proposal, bipartisan even although you will deny that, shot down by Trump. Still waiting for Trump's health care proposal. Maybe you can enlighten me? -

low/no sugar musli
Main issue is not so much the added sugar but the glycemic load of the cereal. This is a consequence of the type of starch that in the product e.g. Kellogg's Cornflakes have little added sugar but the starch is converted to sugar very rapidly. So you can't make healthy judgments based on presence of added sugar alone. Most grain cereals have a high glycemic load and I'd suggest that this may not be the best choice if you are trying to eat better. Maximizing the fibre content of a cereal or muesli with added bran will help to reduce the glycemic load. Otherwise the suggestions here of a yoghurt/ fruit bowl or making some oatmeal/porridge might be a better breakfast. -

Do you believe that Trump weighs 215 pounds, like he claims. If you obfuscate, the answer is "yes". -

Riots by bidens/ harris new vision for America
FIVE ! 5 dead as a direct result of Trumps urging for followers to march on the Capitol and "FIGHT" (peacefully lol ) ! And 174 police injured , plus massive damage to the idea of American democracy. It appears you support a narcissist who , not too long back , said the system was rotten and needed to be demolished , but is now happily supporting it in his pursuit of power . I dont know why anyone would expect any sort of honest answer from a brainwashed mollusc ... -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
Question, if that's the case with the PDF. Why is it necessary for someone to be in your home country to apply for the Destination Thailand Visa? A person currently in Thailand or a neighboring country could easily apply without returning home. How would they confirm that you were actually in your home country? -

BREAKING NEWS 60-day visa exemptions are now unlimited at land borders
Not highlighted cos nothing new about IO discretionary decisions. The MFA official seemed creditable and was quite clear re permanent and unlimited, he even ok'd a back to back border entry example. How it actually pans out is not for me to speculate so I will wait and see - maybe some unforseen further changes are in the making TIT style! -

Let's compare the quality of journalism in the quoted article, when compared by the Telegraph's reporting quality. Oh, let's not waste time.
