Hedghog
This morning I went to renew my extension. I was the only customer. Everything went well. But I only got a stamp for Extension under review, along with the 90 day report date stapled in the passport. I must return on the 2nd of next month. Just a heads up. Its not an issue for me,as I am in town many days of the week, but it may be problematic for those living further afield.
ubonjoe
I think that may have been reported before for that office. It has happened at other offices becasue they did not have an officer with the rank needed to sign off on the extension.
Hedghog
Ubonjoe. Thanks for the reply. The boss was in attendance. Also over the last 4 years attending this office have been nothing but helpful. I know the boss by sight as I was once asked to move my motorcycle from in front of his window. Previously there was a lady boss. Edited November 25, 2014 by Hedghog

John1012
I can understand the possibility of not having an officer senior enough present. But if present why an under review notice'? Is this going to be the norm at P'lock? I will be moving to Baan Ock land soon, with P'lock as my immigration office. I have been getting my retirement extensions at Jomtien for some years now, with the only delay being, collect in the afternoon. Are there different rules and laws applying to to each immigration fiefdom? Is P'lock immigration office under the jurisdiction of ChangWattana office? Can one go to Bangkok to get an extension if there are problems in P'lock? I, personally, would rather spend the money and time going to Bangkok than being pissed about by some bureacratic non-entity with an ego.
Mario2008
You can only apply for an extension at the immirgaiton office for your area, so applying in BKK would not be possible. Only in Pi'lok can you apply. Pi'lok falls under Chiang Mai, not BKK anyway.
