BB1950 Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Today I was doing updates to 3rd party software using File Hippo's App manager. There was an update listed for Kodi 14. I was a little surprised by this as I didn't recognize the name Kodi. So I did some checking and ran across this: XBMC Is Getting a New Name – Introducing Kodi 14. The announcement was made on Aug 01, 2014. Since I've noticed so many TV members are still referring to it as XBMC, I thought it would be wise to advise all of the name change. Ungabunga Posted January 8, 2015 Share Posted January 8, 2015 I encountered a few compatibility issues with some addons, notably Xunity's iStream, but seems to have been ironed out now - at least there are 'fixes' available. For anyone considering upgrading to Kodi v14 from XBMC's 13.2 Gotham I would advise they do a full backup first just incase they run into trouble.
