Am checking out Kata hotels for Christmas and New Year. Would especially love a hotel with a swim-up bar and/or pool access rooms that's maybe within a 10 minute walk to the beach. Myself and husband & 2 teenagers 19 & 17.

Kata Beach (probably too expensive anyhow) and Kata Sea Breeze are fully booked.

Kata Palm Resort doesn't have any pool access rooms available.

Jiva/Centrak Kata Resort want 9,900 bahts per room per night, over my budget!

As is Aspasia who want US$750 "special rate" per night for a 2 bedroom suite. What's that, about 28000 bahts?!

Any suggestions please?
