S. Korea to conduct military drills with U.S., develop new weapons

Murder suspect arrested for second slaying

SONGKHLA: -- A man wanted for killing his ex-girlfriend in Sara Buri has been arrested for another death, allegedly killing Wiriya Thian Witthaya School director, Doungkhae Khunthongphetch, at her home in Songkhla's Hat Yai district on January 15. Police claimed the motive was jealousy.

Fire at new building inside Chulalongkorn hospital

BANGKOK: -- A fire broke out at the 29th floor of the Phumsiri Mangklanusorn building inside the compound of Chulalongkorn hospital at 4.20 p.m. but was put under control half an hour later.

Hospital director Dr Sophon Napatorn said the fire broke out on the 29th floor which is the deck of the newly built building.

But he said nobody was inside the building as it is still under decoration.

One employee of the decoration firm was injured from suffocation. However he was rescued and take out of the blazing floor before it was kept under control.

Cause of the fire is still under investigation, police said.

Commerce Ministry : Rice export for 2014 the highest in history
