Does this make sense?

"Did your girlfriend/boyfriend give you flowers? ha ha"

the flower that my secret (girl)friend gave to me....

กิ๊ก isn't girlfriend/boyfriend - it's a casual sex partner, f*** buddy, for no-strings-attached horizontal jogging.

The story behind this is that my wife upload picture with red rose on "Line" messenger homepage (with this text) and she probably forget that everybody she friends can see that too.. Then we had debate what that really means..

She say that it means something like "Somebody (good friend=girl) give me flower, ha, ha"

But when I translated it I get something like "The flower that my f*** buddy gave to me...."

As I see it Gik is usually used to refer to a casual, short term sexual partner with remuneration usually involved in the set up.

It can also be used to refer to a sexual partner among younger women.

One way many languages can emphasise a word is to move it to the start of the sentence to emphasise it. Even English does it occasionally. Thai does it much more often than English. The technical term for the process is "topic fronting". Your wife's translation can be improved to, "Somebody (good friend -= girl) gave me flower, ha ha". (It can also be improved in other, less relevant ways.)

An English example is "The French I can understand, but when the GERMANS don't want to fight?".

กิ๊ก originally means a casual sex partner/fuckbuddy, but with it's popularity it's meaning has also expanded.

It can also be normal, regular friends who you talk with, confide in, hang out with, etc. It doesn't necessarily involve sex.
