On 60 tourist visa - Going out to laos and coming back in for another 30 days

Featured Replies

Hey guys I'm on a 60 day tourist visa from Australia.

On the 25th Of Jan (end of 60 days) I'll be going to Laos for 4 days.

To come back for another 30 days, do I need to go to the embassy to apply for the 30 days or can I just come back into the country?

Thanks in advance.

If you return at a land border you will get 15 days.

If you fly back you will get 30 days.

If you apply for a Tourist Visa at a Thai Consulate you will get 60 days.

My original plan was to come through the land border, but I think I'll fly in now. Thanks for the reply.

I'll be heading to Australia again on the 28th of feb for a month, but when I come back I'll apply again for a tourist visa for another 60 days, would there be any problems with this?

Nope.

Don't forget that you can get a 30 day extension at Immigration for 1,900 Baht

You could apply for a 30 day extension of your 60 day tourist visa entry and get a re-entry permit (1000 baht ) for your trip to Laos that would give you the same permit to stay date you had when you left when you enter the country.
