Can't connect to .@ TRUEWIFI or .@truemoveH

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm a True pre pay customer and try as I might, on my Android phone I can't connect to the two .@ TRUEWIFI or .@truemoveH WifFi networks.

When I click on them to connect it says 'Connecting...' for a few seconds then it says disabled.

The same happens for both.

Should I be able to connect to these networks on my phone?

I can connect to .@ TRUEWIFI on my laptop using my mobile number to login.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I had the same problem last night. It kept disconnecting and then re-connecting, although this was on my laptop.

Strange. This always happens on my phone. Even when I have full strength signal (according to the icon on the phone).

True what JJ says. Also, some plans allow only one device period. For those type of plans, I thought you had to register a particular mac address, usually your phone or tablet, to use the hotspot. But it may be possible the system is automatically registering the first device you use on the hotspot, and then only allowing that one. Not sure about this though. Should check what your particular plan allows.

I have a plan that allows multiple devices, but I registered one particular one so that it automatically logs in whenever I use that device (no need to open up a browser to enter user name/pwd).

Edit: I believe @truewifi is the only one you can use. Not sure what @truemoveh is for but I can't use it as a hotspot with my plan.

Thanks for the info JJ. Have tried that and can now login on my phone sometimes automatically.

Cheers.

I have True ADSL at home and was getting 30 hours/month free WiFi on .@Truewifi. Since 1st. Feb I can't login to the WiFi anymore. I think the free deal has stopped. Can anyone confirm. Thanks.
