it states on some of the airline websites that the credit card holder(person paying the ticket) has to be at checkin

does that apply to both legs?

eg..I buy tickets for me and my girlfriend ..mine is one way from BKK to LHR but hers is return BKK>LHR>BKK

will she have problems checking-in in LHR if i am not present

we plan to fly EVA.

thanks.

In my experience NO, there is no problem, its the departing flight that requires the card to be presented etc not the return leg.

If you want to cover the bases, just write a note with a photocopy of the card (front only) explaining, with contact info for you if they need to verify, but I doubt very much it will be needed. I have never known it be asked for on return journeys.
