Has anyone seen it in Thailand? I've checked the local Big C and Foodland, couldn't find it. Although I have a bad track record of finding things like this.

Villa or Foodland.

It's also very easy to make.

Flour, water, yeast, salt.

Mix it in the morning, let it rise till noon. Punch it down and knead it again, let it rise until dinner time. Then roll out thin, maybe 1/8" to 1/4", and slowly heat in a dry pan. When they puff and start to brown, flip over. I keep flipping every few seconds until browned nicely.

If you use oil, they will be crispy. No oil, they'll stay soft.

I use white flour, and add a bit of whole wheat. But all whole wheat is just as easy. The all day rise has more depth of taste than store bought.

I am a baker and occasionally make pitta bread and Turkish flat bread for customers, sells well. As the above poster's recipe but I add some olive oil and a small amount of sugar.

The secret is not too much yeast, about 5gm per 1kg of flour. Use cheap old AP flour as well, just as good.

I bake them on hot stones in the oven. You can fry them too if you wish.

They sell it at Friendship in Pattaya.

See it for sale quite often in supermarkets - but not from major sources so may be hit and miss. Makes a great hot dog/wurst wrapper.
