Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary

Featured Replies

Next week wife and I will be driving from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi and as part of the trip plan to visit the above wildlife sanctuary as well as Sri Nakarin National Park. Does anyone know if they have a camping area in or near the wildlife sanctuary? We expect to spend about a week in that area.

Hi Spaniel,

Welcome back to Kan. wai.gif

Sri Nakarin National Park should have a Camp Site, if not Huai Khamin Waterfall has one. and one of the most spectacular waterfall in Thailand. Has toilets, showers, food and Camping Site.

Heard reports that the road up to there now is all road worthy.

Maps Kan be found on the link below:-

Hope this helps you and your wife.

Don't know about Naresuan but if you don't mind a detour on the way consider Chaloem Rattanakosin Nation Park :http://www.westernforest.org/en/areas/chaloem_rattanakosin.htm As an option.

We camped there a couple of weeks back and they have miles of camping space with good facilities.

There is an interesting walk up through a cave and a drive up to what they call Slider Waterfall that is worth doing but you probably wouldn't want to take it on in a small car.
