Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha has been appointed Attorney of the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) by the prosecution board. The appointment will be effective on September 1st.

OAG Spokesman Atthapol Yaisawang (อรรถพล ใหญ่สว่าง) said during an oral test on legal knowledge, the princess said she has been interested in the work of OAG for a long time because it deals with several areas including criminal and civil cases and foreign affairs.

Mr. Atthapol said the princess wants to disseminate knowledge about the law to the public by herself. She is also ready to represent the state in any criminal case, he said.

The Spokesman added the princess said if she has to be transferred to a province, she wants to go to either Narathiwat or Ubon Ratchathani.
