I've heard Moscow is very nice at that time of year :) they did have another flight which is £50 more with a 14 hour stopover.

Never could understand why anyone would want to hang around an airport for 14 or 19 hours crazy.gif

OP that sounds like one way for sure.......16,000 baht return sounds impossible

Which airline, what date?

Go shopping in Moscow, and that'll cost more than the flight. No way would I want that sort of stop over, different if it's a couple of days, but that's neither here nor there

It's gone up a bit now then I booked it at £335 but still a good price if you don't mind a long stop over, but going back to Bkk it is not so bad

Which airline, what date?

Dates were: 12 July to 2 Sep.

I see a result for "Transaero" via Moscow Vnukovo (VKO) with such horrendeous stopover.

(506 EUR ~ 378 GBP)

Not for me.

Each to his own.

At best I would use this as a last flight out from a war zone.

Transaero is in the business of transporting Russian package tourists to Thailand (as far as I remember).

You will after that transit time..........You'll need to eat and drink and that is incredibly expensive at that Airport......

You'll spend more than you save on flight costs and you'll still be stuck there 19 hours !!

Bonkers pure and simple.....

If you can handle it good luck, nowadays I'm a get on get off person with BA or EVA.

19 hours is a fair old layover, I hope you hack it! thumbsup.gif Don't worry about the disparaging comments above, - this is Thaivisa after all.

A friend of mine got a very cheap return from Glasgow with Etihad by accepting 8 hours in AUD (if that's the right airport, before I get flamed) and another 8 in BKK (he flew on to CNX). I think he endured similar on the way home and got away with under £500 for the round trip.
