At least that's what Sitthichai Tah-aj, former chairman of the Phetchabun chapter of the UDD seems to have said. Baerboxer
In the BKK Post Jatuporn was reported as saying the did not know Kris(t) personally but recognized him as they had met at Apiwan's funeral. Yet only yesterday there were photos in the same paper of Kris(t) frequently being on the same red stages as Jatuporn playing his guitar and singing. Jatuporn lies again. Thaksin must be highly peed off by the ineptitude of his hired goons. All Thaksin's minions just can't seem to get it. They still think they can say anything, true or false, and that everyone will believe them. They've told so many lies that now it must be hard to tell reality. He wouldn't know the truth if it bit him.
maynard420
I happen to like the present PM Mr. Prayut Chan-O-Cha, no matter how he came to power. I keep wondering why every one refers the Thailand Military as the Junta? I have heard of that reference in Burma, but then look at Burma, and see the difference! I have travelled to Thailand when both, Thaksin Shinawatra, and his sister Yingluck Shinawatra have been in power, and I did not see the glory of their power days, of helping Thailand and the Thai people either. I was there during the big flood, and I heard from my Thai relatives about why it was so bad. I have heard of the things that Thaksin did while he was the PM and I have to say that he is not my hero. While I visit Thailand I wear a shirt for the color of the King, and another color on the day of the Queen, but as for the Red shirts, or Yellow shirts, I just hope that the present PM will help Thailand a lot better than the last two people did. Of course this is only my Farang Tourist opinion. If your a "Falang" how can you have Thai relatives??
halloween
If your a "Falang" how can you have Thai relatives?? Oh a farang can have any number of Thai relatives. The limiting number is set by the size of your bank balance and your willingness to part with it without due regard to value for money and the odds against family "loans" being repaid. Popular Post mikemac
A fight is certainly on the way and it's not only Jatuporn. The rubber farmers, taxi drivers, truckers, energy activists are waiting in line for a showdown with the government. Just when you thought peace have been restored and reconciliation on the way, we are all back in square one. It seem a repeat of the '06 coup and wasted years before democracy is restored. You wish! ................................."The rubber farmers, taxi drivers, truckers, energy activists"........................................ What a joke ! I bet the Army boys are shaking in their boots, especially at the thought of doing battle with Thaksin's army of taxi drivers ! And I love the way they keep coming up with the "reconciliation" bullet when they have nothing else to fire. As far as the Shins are concerned reconciliation is a nice way of saying "wipe the slate clean and forgive us for all our past sins, and everything will be all better". What a joke these people are.

Erm, well I have about 80 Thai relatives by-marriage to my wife, then there's her herself, and our leuk-krung kids. They all add up, you know ! That's right, when you marry a Thai lady you "inherit" a whole heap of family. I have been with my wife for five years now and I am still discovering relatives I did not know I even had ! And I class myself lucky, after reading some of the horror stories (fact and fiction) posted on TVF over the years. My adopted family, although most of them are poor Surin rice farmers (why did they not get filthy rich while Thaksin ruled all those years ?) have never asked for handouts, which is why we look after them financially when they need help (again, after all those years under Thaksin why are they not helping me out ?)

The mercenary agitator talks a good fight, to the death id necessary, as long as it isn't his. While others are bleeding and dying, he's busy counting his wealth accumulated as a 'political activist'. Guess where that came from. The man should wear a red shirt with a big white bulls-eye on it.

Yep, that all sounds very familar to me too ! It's more like a corporate-merger, than a simple one-on-one relationship, when you marry here, not that I'm complaining about that. And 'family helps family', because you can't rely on the government to do so, that fits right in with my South London roots, too !

You have to understand Mike that the promise to make everyone rich in 6 months was only after he has arrived back in Thailand and is in charge again. So it is conditional in everyone, who wants to be rich, supporting efforts to get him back free of all impediments, IE the amnesty bill. Unfortunately there are those who do not want to get rich, or were rich already, or possibly just didn't believe him, who scuppered the aspirations of the faithful and the corrupt who would have been forgive their corruption and allowed to keep their corruption money thereby getting rich for sure.

My plan was once the family were rolling in it I could sit back with a pina colada and milk them for all their riches, much like the previous government did to the people of Thailand. billd766
I have been thinking how quiet the UDD has been lately, mostly since Thida passed the leadership baton over to Jatuporn. In fact since that time the only loud voice has been his. Perhaps he has been selected as the sacrificial lamb. No links or posts to this as it is only my thoughts and opinion which of course are just as valid as anybody elses on the forum.

As I have oft asked Eric: How can you 'restore democracy' when there was none here in the first place? If you are one of those who believe that democracy starts and finishes at the ballot box, then I am afraid you need to learn about the world and it's puppet masters. It's weird when you try to teach me about democracy when you one of those who believe in coup will help restore democracy. You really have to learn from the world that military takeover of a civilian government is unconstitutional and democracy denied. And here is a little something about all political parties; all have puppet masters. I am not trying "to teach you" about anything. You cannot overcome blind prejudice with simple teaching.
