Find me one jewelry shop in Thailand that isnt owned by a Chinese and I would be surprised. I have no idea on this one.
leisurely
We were in Siam Paragon on the weekend and saw lots and lots and lots of jewellry shops. I should think that buying in a place like that would give you some sort of guarantee.

Thaicoon
Best place is Heng Gems in bangkok, bought my engagement ring there and lots of other jewelery, the items all come with certificates, also had all products bought from these valued in the UK, worth triple. Heng
Best place is Heng Gems in bangkok, bought my engagement ring there and lots of other jewelery, the items all come with certificates, .... Can't go wrong with a name like that. To the OP, IMHO, she won't forget the Tiffany and Co. or Cartier experience.

thohts
Be sure to check the quality of the rings at Cartier Bangkok before purchase. My finance and I each purchased a ring from there and I think hers is of questionable quality.

You would think Emporium would be over-priced, but it was good price and an interesting design. We also looked at jewelry stores in Central World Plaza and the hotel arcade adjoining Gaysorn, saw good ones with OK prices at both spots... Hope that helps!
