How can I reset my Google Chrome search address.

Hi Guys.

This is a little embarrassing.

When I was in Thailand last year, my Google search address was changed to launch Google.com.th. Whenever I go into chrome for the first time, this address is my default search.

I shared my laptop with a couple of Thai friends and don't remember if they modified it or I changed it under their instructions. The laptop is a Dell and was purchase in the U.S., using windows 8.

In Thailand, I purchased a new I-style I-mobile phone that defaults to google.com.th. I linked this to my laptop's gmail google account. Maybe doing this link changed the chrome default web address, not really sure.

To be honest, I used I.E. as my web browser 99% of the time I was in Thailand.

Now I'm back in the U.S. and would like my Chrome search to show Google.com (USA version).

Nothing wrong having Google.com.th. Just on some occasions, I have to use the translate to English option after a search is found.

I searched in my Google acct, but cannot identity where this Thai URL address is located(to delete).

When I click a new tab, I get Google.com w/o the Thailand credentials.

There appears to be a hierarchy where Google.com.th will display 1st, followed by Google.com.

Also whatever instructions you suggest, can this set my linked gmail acct to change my mobile's chrome version to google.com?

Thanks.

TC.

Top right corner, a little 3 bar icon click that, scroll down to settings. Open that and you'll see "set pages on opening" and "set search engine"

Just change to what you need.

Hi Guys.

I posted this question before(see OP) and thanks to Mod CharlieH I was able to default my search engine to Google.com while living in the U.S.

I just arrive in Thailand and using a free wifi by a hotel that requires password key to login.

My default search engine page shows again Google.com.th (Thailand) when I enter a new tab.

My default settings did not change and still has Google.com but something is overriding it.

During my trip to Thailand, Is there a way I can keep Google.com as my search engine page whenever I click on a new tab.

Thanks.
