All of the universities with medical schools have Physio programs. You can start your search there. e.g. Mahidol. Or you can contact The Physical Therapy Association of Thailand. As physiotherapy is a real health profession with rigorous training and qualifications, I anticipate that one would face the same barriers as a physician/nurse that wishes to practice in Thailand: Language certification and competency exam.

I'd expect that Thailand with its high incidence of motor vehicle and industrial injuries has a constant demand for rehabilitation professionals. There most likely is a shortage of staffing in the outlying areas (just like western nations) with a concentration of staffing in urban areas so expect the same hiring barriers as with the other health professions.

Sorry, not much help otherwise, but everyone loves physiotherapists because they are the difference between recovery and a life of living as a cripple and in pain. :)

There is definitely a need/market for farang Phsiotherapists for other Farangs in LOS, there is a UK guy called Nigel in Pattaya who is constantly fully booked out for days ahead. He charges 500bht for about 30 mins but does accupuncture aswell as physio.

Get over here and start marketing yourself.

Hi there,

Even i too have the same sort of doubts. Any kind of info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

We have a need for a casual/part time physio in Koh Phangan - room and clientele sourcing ready and waiting... full company support in established health and fitness environment. Also other fitness & health modalities welcome to enquire.
