BANGKOK: -- In a statistical revelation unlikely to surprise anyone anywhere, Thailand was found to have the highest rate of unfaithfulness between lovers and partners than any other nation or at least copping to it.

Over 56 percent of married Thais of all sexes who responded to a Match.com survey admitted to committing adultery, data used to create a handsome infographic by The Independent.

Thailand was the only Asian country to make the list with the rest being nations of Europe.

Thailand also ranks number one in being stupid enough to admit to having affairs. In fact, gotta think they rank first in stupid in a whole lot of areas.

This isn't a site Thais normally use. The only people using Match.com in Thailand are chicks fishing for farang. Who obviously are not average and are going to have tons of hookers and professional farang girlfriends in the mix.

Finally an international number one standing and no one cheated - oh, wait a minute.!

Match.com is based out of Texas, and I've watched enough episodes of JR Ewing's antics on "Dallas" to be suspicious that Texas ain't on the list, much less the rest of Murica...

Such irony, how Thais are so honest about admitting to their infidelity.

It's only 68% because the other 32% are too busy in their corrupt activities to answer the survey.

The keyword is "admitted" -- sociologists say in the US 3 of 5 marriages survive an affair (that beats Thais admitted by a percent).

In America most would be too prudish to admit infertility in a survey. Maybe the Thais are more frank about this, for some reason?

Probably these statistics forget to mention Islamic countries where monogamy and marriage with many women are legally...

Doesn't mean they have the most affairs... Just that they have the most people who admit it.

This speaks to social norms rather than actual infidelity.

As in western countries, infidelity is seen as a very bad thing that most would not want to admit to.

In Thailand it is done more openly, with less judgement. So more people in Thailand willing to admit
