Marriage Visa

I gave up my business visa at the beginning of last year and did a couple of double entry tourist before telling local immigration I wanted to apply for a marriage visa.

They told me to go to vientiane and get ... i thought they said another tourist visa.. but to go back to the amphor to get some documents regarding my marriage to take.

Then come back and see them, I had a number for the officer handling it.

When I picked up my passport I found out i had a non imm-O and a stamp for 3 months.

Tried to ask about this but was told that was what i needed and get out of the way of the 500 people still waiting.

Rang my local immigration office when I got back and they said i had better come in in the next couple of days and show them.

Does everything seem to be on track?

You got what you needed to apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage. You can apply for it during the last 30 days of your 90 day entry.

You cannot apply for the extension with a tourist visa,
