Hello ,

First of all i hope this topic doesn't get removed cuz no one else can answer this specific question else than this forum,

Second of all, I regret what i did and im sorry if im offending anyone

Well i was in a family trip and got a dumb <deleted> idea of getting laid and had protected vaginal sex i was quite soft cuz it was my first time and im scared as fkkk so the condom might been lossy and unprotected oral, the place called annies massageo i dont know about the girls status

3 days later tested for gonorrhea +

And because i had loads of panics attacks i couldnt wait till 3 months mark

So i did nat test back in my country after 16 days and the name of monitor or the machine is procleix tigris

It did cost about 400$ and results after 12 hours and it detects hiv 1 and hpv wich was nonreactive wich almost got me a heart attack while calling the hospital but thank god it was negative

But later i did read about the cfr01_ae wich is not the same subtype in Europe and us

Wich made me freak out and got me back in to panic attacks

So the question is :

Does nat test detects the hiv subtype in thailand ? And is it conclusive after 16 days ?

Doctors told me its the most accurate test and its conclusive but i think they are talking about subtype b

I mentioned that the sex encounter was in thailand but they prob dont know about the subtype

Please and please n please dont remove this topic just for few days till i get answers cuz no one else can help me with this question other than experts in thailand

And thx alot for understanding

You don't say which country you are in so presumably not Thailand any more.

First of all you need to see a physician familiar with STD/HIV; a detailed history and discussion will relieve your anxiety much more than a forum discussion can ever achieve. It is also essential to ensure that the gonorrhoea is adequately treated.

You seem to have had protected sex which should provide relatively good protection against gonorrhoea as well as HIV but your details are unclear. Male contact with an HIV positive female with single exposure does not automatically result in infection; male infected persons have a much higher rate of transmission than female due to the volume of secretions shared.

NAT test as well as the p24 test is reliable in your exposure period; subtype is of little relevance right now.

I did treat gonorrhea with 2 injections

But i did read the hiv in thailand is morre transable to hetrosexual

And i have done hiv 1 nat test after 16 days of exposure

But the question is, does nat test detects the hiv subtype in thailand ?

Information about HIV types, groups and sub-types can be found by opening the link.

http://www.avert.org/hiv-types.htm

Most of this information will be of little use to you as an individual.

The most important action you can take in reducing your anxiety is to consult with a sexually transmitted infections (STIs) Specialist Doctor.

Don't worry too much, the probability of contracting HIV from a single event is low. Plus if you do have it, you shouldn't worry either, HIV can be managed in this day and age, your anxiety is probably a greater threat to your health than HIV.

HIV subtype in Thailand is not "more transmissable"; the more accurate statement is that HIV transmission in Thailand is more hetero- than homosexual which is different in the US and other countries.

Your opening post states the you were "negative" for HIV; the NAT test at this time period is very accurate and conclusive. Subtype does not matter or affect the test outcome.

NAT test is available from the Thai Red Cross hospital in Bangkok but you seem to have had the test outside of Thailand so this is not really relevant.

You need to discuss this with a STD specialist not the "laboratory doctor".

First if you had unprotected oral sex, that's why you got gonorrhea. Second if you had protected vagina sex the odds you got HIV, are very, very, very low. Don't worry about it. Go back in a month or two and get retested just to relieve your mind, but I if your vagina sex was protected, I wouldn't worry about it.

That depends on where you are but any General Physician will be able to refer you to an STD specialist.

Many countries also have walk in STD clinics to which you can self refer.

Your question has been answered already in detail.

STOP WORRYING about HIV and get your present STD sorted out.

I have been through a similar situation to you and I understand the anxiety very well. You have to let go of it and just sort out your health.

Bets of luck to you in the future and don't make the same mistake twice!

Hey guys just got tested with duo tested with ab/p24 after 32 days

Wich cam back negative ..Thank god

The lab told me its conclusive after 3 weeks but i dont about subtype AE in thailand ,is it the same window period ?

I still have lymph nodes specialy 1 visible lymph node between my chest pecs and the doctor confirmed its a lymph node and he told me to get tested again with ab after 3 months or duo i told him i got tested yesterday and the results coming tomorrow when i got the results i went to his office and told him and he said youre hiv free , i said what about the lymph nodes doc? He said dont worry about them

So i dont know, you are guys the real experts here so i want your opinions specially FBN i hope u're reading this

And thx for ure old comments it been such a stress relief ,srsly thanks

There are no lymph nodes "between chest pecs" ; assuming you mean between the pectoral muscles on the chest, on the breast bone. This must be some swelling due to a different reason.

You have tested negative for HIV; the sensible thing to do would be to have another test in three month's time as you clearly still have much anxiety over this.

Consider counselling, not just for HIV but for your general anxiety about this whole unfortunate episode.

Yah i guess that node and today when i went to bed i had to do my "routine check" so i found little red lump under my armpit wich i guess its a lymph node

I think thats one of the main symptoms

So now the chance now of me turning hiv + is rlly high i guess

Damm i wish i just jerked off instead of that it would even been morre fun. Cuz i didnt even enjoy the experience>_>

And btw does thai cross or bumn hospital use duo tests ? And whats the window period for it over there

And y ah i have to wait moore 48 days and 3 hours and 26 mins for the final results

And hope fully i can get morre than 3 hours of sleep and stop checking my body every 5m

Jeez, don't panic like that!

I had a 6 months lasting unprotected relationship with a woman and during a routine medical blood test for her I prudently asked to add a HIV test, she was positive. Thus I also panicked but came out clean.

It is not that easy to get HIV+ with hetero sex.
