Airmailing books from Amazon.com into Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi

Anybody purchased books from Amazon.com, airmailed into Thailand. Any problems?

Thanks.

Kindle?

I've had books delivered by Amazon to Thailand in the past. No problem.

Same here. No problems and I've never been charged import duties. I've only purchased the 'dead-tree' edition, not Kindle. I spend far too much time ruining my eyesight staring at screens as it is.

Have you ever seen a Kindle screen? It looks just like dead tree print.

Books are no problem, CDs and DVDs are. They are highly taxed. So don't mix.

Better, as someone suggested, get a Kindle and download books. No charge and it's literally instantaneous.

I had to collect mine. They handed me a thai plastic bag with amazon sealed inside. I opened at home to find the contents sopping wet. It took me a week to dry out the 2 books. No explanation. I now only use Kindle download.

Kindle definitely the way foward.

Asia Books are also good if you prefer 'books' can purchase on line (usually cheaper than at the shop) with free delivery within Thailand
