Lupatria Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Can't see Costas2008, anywhere..............Forbes, can't be so well informed. I expect this to be rectified next year. Don't become impatient, the next billion bailout for dept ridden Greeks is on the way. 1
Popular Post maidee Posted March 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2015 never in those lists, any rockefellers, rothschilds... they don't have billions, they have trillions 3
Prbkk Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 It's a relief for me just to be in the top billion. 1
brucec64 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Charoen is head of the CP group. The Guardian had some interesting allegations as to where a large source of their wealth is derived from. http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2014/jun/10/supermarket-prawns-thailand-produced-slave-labour 1

I expect this to be rectified next year. The "inner circle"won't allow you on the list Costa. Greece wouldn't like that.
Hopho Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Oh I bet there's one Thai that has more than both of those two put together. 2
ratcatcher Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Is The leader of Russia on the list? Why don't you put in a good word for him then?
Popular Post thhMan Posted March 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2015 I wonder how many of the Thais got their wealth through corruption...? 3
ldiablo Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 The Queen of England is by the richest person in the world but of course her actual wealth would never be reported,or the Rockefellers wealth.
carter1882 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Contrary to the usual negative comments, people like Gates and Buffet are some of the greatest philanthropists in the history of the world. They and many others have pledged to give away half of their fortunes at least. Some will say they can afford to but they dont have to. How many of the naysayers have given away of their wedge? I have dropped a fair amount in various "philanthropic" gestures in Isaan, but that is another story. 2
Popular Post tullynagardy Posted March 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2015 This list only includes legitimate wealth. There are countless Thais worth huge fortunes that simply don`t appear on the list. Take Newin Chidchob as an example. This guy just builds F1 tracks, football stadiums and bankrolls a team of high earning footballers yet has a declared net worth of just $2 million! 3
Baa_Mango Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Where is Yoovidhya cash at? (Red Bull), and since when is Heinecke a Thai national? Also the Juangrongruangkit people.. (Summit).. misleading list as some of these fortunes must be split through to multiple heirs or just hack reporting/research. These old Chinese got some sick $. Also.. pretty sure theres another individual that controls a very large fortune that was left off that list Edited March 3, 2015 by Baa_Mango 1
Popular Post tullynagardy Posted March 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 3, 2015 Also.. pretty sure theres another individual that controls a very large fortune that was left off that list Indeed. Forbes actually included him in 2012 with a fortune of 30 Billion. Shows the power of the Thai establishment to have him completely removed. 3
dotpoom Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 "There are a record 1,826 billionaires in the world" I wonder what percentage of them actually give back to their countries people through charities, donations, etc. Warren Buffet is leaving all his money to charity. Both he and Bill Gates give hugh amounts of money, I was pleasantly surprised upon hearing what others are doing .....of course I can't speak for the majority.
razer Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I think the 99% are getting sick and tired of this <deleted> getting rammed down our throats! Gee ... let me recall my history lessons and what happened to the 1% after the French and Russian revolutions. 1
elgordo38 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 "There are a record 1,826 billionaires in the world" I wonder what percentage of them actually give back to their countries people through charities, donations, etc. Nada Zero Zilch. Thats why they are billionaires. Notice there has be a 10% increase in the number of these b**t**ds over the previous year. Governments keep giving em fancy tax breaks, lets them stash their money in low tax havens world wide provides them with our savings at almost zero percent interest to buy back their stock or buy their competitors its a win win situation for these buggars and a loose loose for us savers. They more than likely get a tax refund at the end of the year. 2
laislica Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Can't see Costas2008, anywhere..............Forbes, can't be so well informed. I expect this to be rectified next year. No no Costas; billionaires not billionhairs 1
ldiablo Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 wrong, wrong, wrong~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.theriches...beth-net-worth/ Oby. If you believe that article you are more naive than I suspected. I am wondering, do you believe everything that is put in print.
Baerboxer Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Wonder how many on the list are convicted criminal fugitives?
Gunna Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 The Queen of England is by the richest person in the world but of course her actual wealth would never be reported,or the Rockefellers wealth. Only no 12 of richest royal families http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_richest_royals The unmentionable one is easily no 1 2
Falcon Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) When I see these annual lists, I wonder if anyone really works out the true amount of money that the top 100 really have and if they calculated it properly, whether there would still be the same 100. By this, I am talking about the huge difference in how the UK and the U.S. term the amount of a billion! For example, in the US, a billion is 1,000,000,000 (UK would class this as ONE THOUSAND MILLION not a billion) but in the UK, a billion is 1,000,000,000,000 - so, as you can see, a HUGE difference! Don't believe me? Look it up and see for yourself. http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/words/how-many-is-a-billion Edited March 3, 2015 by Falcon
