PM confirms no cabinet reshuffle for now

26-2-2558-16-23-49-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha on Tuesday dismissed a speculation that he might reshuffle his cabinet but he indicated that he might do so in the future if it is necessary.

He said that he thanked all his ministers for joining his cabinet and felt they had done their best to steer the country forward. Nevertheless, he pointed out that the officials would have to change their working attitude and to be more creative.

As for the performance of ministers in charge of security, the prime minister said that they had done a good job but economic performance was not good due mainly to global economic slowdown.

He pleaded with all parties concerned not to keep repeating that economic situation is worsening, saying that this would cause panic among the people and discourage them from spending.

However, he said that it was fortunate that global oil prices have substantially dropped providing an opportunity for Thailand to make adaptations for instance to product high quality products instead of cheap products so that it could compete in the world market.

Thailand has a lot oil and gas, review the contracts!

High quality products, let specialists in:

Get a work permit by paying 5000 Baht per month, no further documents needed and if you pay for 2 month you get a 6 month visa. If you paid it and have job (paying the income tax if enough salary) you get an 1 year. After 1 year get a 2 year. Than a 5 year. Of course need to pay the usual taxes like Thai people, but skip all the headache for getting a WP and Visa.

A lot young qualified people would enter. Most would fail, some will have success. But even the fail one would train some Thai people.....

Thinking out of the box......

Prayut denies rumour of Cabinet reshuffle
The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha denied rumours of a Cabinet reshuffle, saying he had issued no such orders and fully supported all ministers who have joined him through good and bad times over the past eight months.

Speculation that the government was about to reshuffle the Cabinet surfaced due to a weak economy and lower-than-expected export figures.

Prayut said all ministers were doing their best, though there was a need to change the attitude of some government officials to boost creativity.

Asked if there was any ministry that needed particular reinforcement, the premier said they all need help. Prayut added that opinion polls suggest that the administration is stable and doing okay. As for the lacklustre economy, he attributed it to state of the global economy and urged people to stop complaining, saying it would encourage consumers to spend less.

He then jokingly asked if any of the journalists had less than Bt500 in his or her wallet. "Let's not cause panic," he added.

When most households are spending far more than they are earning, is it sure a good idea to try and encourage people to keep spending ?

As for his joke about the 500 baht. He is a natural born comedian. Is there nothing the man doesn't excel at ?

Why would he need to reshuffle people they are already doing exactly as he tells them, it isn't as if the flunkies have to think for themselves the good general does that for them thanks to his all seeing intelligence and his unerring knowledge of what is good for Thailand and even the little people ...

"economic performance was not good due mainly to global economic slowdown."

If that were true, then nations like Malaysia, Philippines, and Indoneasia would experience similar poor economic performance. But they are not"

Prayuth states that because fuel prices were lower, the economy actually improved. It did not.

"The Ministry of Commerce has revealed that the Kingdom’s exports and imports in January shrank by 3.46% and 13.33% respectively, due to low agricultural and fuel prices." - Department of International Trade Promotion, 2015-02-26

Interestingly the graphics shows that the Thai economy already suffered from begin of 2013

BTW look up the meaning of import/export in value and in volume.

PS in the mean time PM Prayuth sticks to his cabinet. No need for a reshuffle just for the fun of it
