ek burapa enrollment

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Any teachers out there that teach at Ek Burapa Minburi? I need some help, I've tried to enroll my daughter at this school for P3 but the school says it's already full. I'm in desperate need to find a way to get her in there. Any help or advise would be deeply appreciated. thanks.

Offer some money.. 200k baht ought to do it!

The tragedy of the post by casualbiker is that what is said is true.

A '' charitable donation'' will indeed open a door for your daughter.

Charity?

No. It's called corruption!!!

Haha! In this case I'm not so charitable as not a big fan of corruption. Was hoping for a way into the school without it. Any other ideas welcomed. cheers.

Donations can of course help, but part of the reason they're full, is that they're probably legitimately full (Assuming you want her to join a gifted or mini EP or similar program there).

If it's just the regular classes which you want her to join, then she might not be able to join because what she's previously studied is different to what they're studying, as each school teaches essentially a 3 year program, where they'll build on topics etc (Or at least that's the theory), if you transfer schools in the middle of those 3 years, you might not have the foundation learning ot keep up with that topic.

You should be fine to enroll your daughter in P4, as that'll b e the start of a new 3 year cycle (Although she might have to pass an entrtance exam).

Or "common sense" for some people.

Private schools do fill up. There may not be much that you can do, but put her on the waiting list and enroll her in a different school.

I don't know very much about the school, but I have tested numerous students for entrance who came from Ek Burapha and I can say that they were confident and there English was generally very good. Even fairly young students were able to sort of engage in a conversation and not just answer standard questions.

Based on my limited experience, I can understand your desire to get her into the school.

Just the regular program... yes, reason given was they are full. Coming in on the third year shouldn't be a problem for her. She'd be able to catch up if need be I would think...

Scott, any recommendations for other schools in the area?

thanks.

Sorry, I really don't know any good ones, but I will keep my ears open and if I hear of something, I will post it.

I'll ask around a little.

Maybe some other posters who are familiar with the Minburi area might know?

Yes, I am still hoping those familiar with bilingual schools in the area would share. Thanks for being on the lookout Scott. Really appreciate it.
