Your problem is that, if she's guilty as alleged (which unlike you I don't assume she is), then she has gone beyond campaigning for freedom and become a terrorist herself, something which I would not condone. This criticism applies equally to Suthep & his few remaining faithful, in the Spring of last year, when the PTP-government was itself guilty of authoritarian repression directed by Chalerm and unchecked by his alleged-boss then-PM Yingluck. The Red-Shirts' problem is that, in their desire to further the lot of the common people, they've allowed their movement to be hijacked by a corrupt self-enriching hiso politician now in self-exile to avoid court-cases & a jail-sentence, and his local (often paid ... do you remember the PTP MPs complaining when their monthly-stipends ceased ?) henchmen. Liberty applies to all, not just the Reds, and living (as I do) in a red-majority area, I see their behaviour in-power & commitment to equality or democracy as being shaky, to say the least. Even their Leader admits (or boasts ?) that 'democracy is not our aim, just a useful tool' ! The family said she was arrested by five soldiers. The Police took custody of her from the Military. She has been charged with terrorism and criminal conspiracy and I assume she may now be 'temporarily' jailed to allow for charges to be laid down at the criminal court and to make sure she will not be hindered to make the appointment with the court. After having heard and acknowledged the charges her legal representative may request bail to be granted. If the court accepts, she'll be free to leave, although she may not leave the country. Of course her legal representative may already ask for bail till the Criminal Court session, but normally people charged with terrorism aren't allowed bail (except if they're UDD leaders or so). I guess they'll put her in the cosy women's corner of a normal prison. At least Iassume that 'bombing for democracy' is not seen as political which would earn her a place in LakSi Prison for suspects and convicts of political crimes. Apart from the six days detention under Martial Law it's almost as if we are still living in a democracy with rule of law and justice for all.
