Only 18.089 case or did they drop a zero off there somewhere?
Popular Post NongKhaiKid
Exactly but also perhaps an indication that people with complaints think twice before risking making them and the reasons why are very obvious.

redandyellow
Everyone needs their rice pot filled up in LOS. The BIB are no exception, ignoring right in favor of might, with a sidearm, graft, face and compromise thrown in for good measure. Popular Post JOC
5818 complaints in total, of which 18089 came from the central provinces!! Makes sense!! A future TAT prognosis maker..................
BritTim
5818 complaints in total, of which 18089 came from the central provinces!! Makes sense!! A future TAT prognosis maker.................. You are confusing total complaints and complaints against police. What really merits comment is: told a press conference, on the March 30-April 3 seminar I had to check if I had seriously overslept last night.
klauskunkel
Congrats to the Ombudsman office. Close to 99% of their cases "solved", as they say themselves...Ombudsman General Gen Wittawat, you can pat yourself on the back..., I guess you just did. Anyway, with these numbers your job is secured...the only agency who can top this is the TAT!
Tatsujin
They still can't count, there must be at least 2 x zero's missing from those numbers. Police should be respected and looked up to, but we don't see nearly enough of that here.
Popular Post Robby nz
I suspect one of the unsolved cases would have something to do with an illegally issued passport where key witnesses refused to answer questions.
NeilSA1
Hopefully there will be some remedial action taken now that this has been acknowledged by the powers that be.

They are State gvt officials !! For 2 years they now investigating on our income, if all is correct registered , 2 times checked the office !! Case solved !! Srikcir
"Royal Thai Police were the subject of the most complaints - 5,818 from the public." If the public could file complaints against the military forcing the nation now for nine months to martial law and denial of due process of law, the number of complaints would be in the millions. But General Prayut as a democratic soldier is immune (literally) from any civilian complaints. And I doubt his General assigned to Ombudsman would turn on Prayut in any case. Thian
I wonder when the general orders the trafficpolice (or whatever they are called) to start doing their job. They can easy write 100 fines an hour in Bangkok, that's big $$$

What are the soldiers doing wrong then? Can you give us some examples?
Johnsen
Let's forget the ones they solved. What are they doing about the ones they did not ????
fgmr
Do the public in general know how to contact the Ombudsman's Office? An average of only 5 complaints a day given the notoriety of many personnel in official positions I am surprised!
