NLA to proceed impeachment of ex-ministers in 2-3 April meeting

BANGKOK, 28 March 2015 (NNT) – The President of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) has called a meeting on 2-3 April 2015, for the impeachment of the former ministers and to consider three pending laws.

The NLA President Pornpetch Wichitcholchai has issued an order for the NLA meeting on 2-3 April 2015 from 10 am, with the impeachment of the former Minister of Commerce Boonsong Teriyapirom, the former Deputy Minister of Commerce Phum Saraphon, and the former Director-General of the Department of International Trade Manat Soiploy.

The date of opening statement in this case will be confirmed in this NLA meeting, while the impeachment of the three former officials is in compliance to the article 6 section 2 of the interim constitution, and the article 64 on corruption prevention and suppression.

The laws that the NLA meeting consider includes the Land Allocation Act, the Freemen Safeguarding Medal Act, and the Dismissal of Irrelevant Law Act. These laws had passed the consideration of the ad-hoc committee.

A NLA member will also question the Prime Minister on the moratorium of farmers in this meeting as well.

"The dismissal of irrelevant law act" isn't that the same as " The Coup Act".

Anyone know where I can get a copy of " The Thainess Act", " the Saving Face Act" , " The Speaking With Forked Tongue Act" or " The <deleted> Stupid Statement Will I Make Today Act".?

Just trying to understand current Thai politics.
