So water went out last night and now it is a full 24 hours with no water.

Frustrated I have to go buy a water tank or something.

Why is the water always out? What's the deal?

Anyone know how much a tank is and a good place to call for installation?

I used this lot http://pattayahomerepair.com/, the lady that seems to run the company employs good sub contractors. The tank I bought was quite expensive (8000 baht I think) as I insisted it had to be one of the UV resistant ones not just the cheaper blue ones you see. The lady asked if I wanted to buy my own and her guys fit it but I asked her to buy it, I think she charged me 100 baht on top of retail price to buy it and deliver it, I cant remember how much for installation but wasn't a great deal.

I now use this organisation for all the small jobs that are a beyond my expertise.

Don't worry. In a few weeks time when the rainy season starts, you'll have about 6 feet of water right outside your door. Better buy a canoe already.

Plenty of water at the moment

Price of a tank depends on size of course.

Simple blue plastic thing with 1 cubicmeter (m³) is around 3000 Baht.

But you will need an additional pump and some "plumbing" (optinally a simple filter)

Be prepared for a total of 10000 Baht.

Size of the tank depends on your individual consumption vs. expected outage.

Full 24h is quite a mess.

I live out in the sticks and it was clear to me that we need a tank and a pump.

Ironically the water supply has improved that much, that it is (almost) superfluous, at least "oversized".
