Easter is here

I know we are all busy with other things and we don’t follow religion.

Only when we are in trouble or need we ask for His help.

But just for one minute let’s remember that is Good Friday tomorrow and Easter on Sunday.

A little thought won’t hurt, considering that the Man died on the cross for the benefit of humanity.

Wish you all to have a Happy Easter.

Being open minded concerning your belief i quote.

Christianity teaches that Jesus was crucified. All four Gospels record the crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. But Muhammad and the Quran say that Christ was not crucified. Muhammad appeared on the scene about 600 years after Jesus. Muhammad claimed to receive 'revelations' from Allah, given to him through Gabriel. One of Muhammad's revelations was that Jesus was not crucified.

The Quran, chapter 4:157 says:

"They declared 'We have put to death the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the apostle of God'. They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they had only his likeness."

In other words, someone other than Jesus was crucified. The majority of Muslims believe this substitutionary theory

Yet the evidence from both the New Testament, and other historical sources state that Christ was crucified.

But happy easter and no mention of eggs to me.

Thanks for the reminder, will have to change lunch venues tomorrow so I can have a lovely chunk of steak and a pint for luch instead of the usual Thai food.

Not having any religious view, I would just say that 'evidence' and 'New Testament' don't necessarily fit together either.

Hmm yes but many non christians within thailand itself and maybe 1 or 2 of these actually read tvf.

True,

But they probably wouldn't bother reading an 'Easter' thread. smile.png

Why are you telling me what the Quran says?

I'll tell you some other verses from the quran.

  • Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them(2:191)
  • Make war on the infidels living in your neighboorhood (9:123)
  • When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them (9:5)
  • Kill the Jews and the Christians if they do not convert to Islam or refuse to pay Jizya tax (9:29)
  • Any religion other than Islam is not acceptable (3:85)
  • The Jews and the Christians are perverts; fight them (9:30)
  • Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticise Islam. (5:33)
  • The infidels are unclean; do not let them into a mosque (9:28)
  • Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies

    (22:19)

  • Do not hanker for peace with the infidels; behead them when you catch them (47:4)
  • The unbelievers are stupid; urge the Muslims to fight them (8:65)
  • Muslims must not take the infidels as friends (3:28)
  • Terrorise and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an (8:12)
  • Muslims must muster all weapons to terrorise the infidels (8:60)

On the contrary what Jesus Christ said was "LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR"

Great post Costas, I have always liked you, but your estimation has gone right up now.

Believing in God and going to church does not make you a Christian.

My father was like that, but he was no Christian, he refused to go to two

of his sons weddings because they married Catholics, I was one of them.

Jesus was a jewish terrorist who tried to declare a kingdom of god with himself as the leader.

Try this stunt nowadays and see what happens.
