tourists spots attracting dumb dumbs

Featured Replies

i ordered an ice coffee in patong beach and pointed at the milk and made a cross with my hands and sayed no in thai and the vendor acknowledged me .

then three seconds later the pours the milk in my coffee then serves it to me.

any other experience in thailand of pure stupidity?

Cross your hands and say no in Thai is the new sign for TVF members to recognise each other.

Not surprised you got milk in your coffee, you could have got a slap if the coffee vendor reads Thai Visa.

You come to their country and, fail to learn to communicate in their language.

You decide to play Tonto and invent your own sign language and they fail to understand you.

Now tell me, who is the "Dumb Dumb" ??coffee1.gif

( Milk = nome, No + Mai )

pretty simple huh?

nope, your stupidity beats all, congratulations! thumbsup.gifclap2.gifcheesy.gif

Educate the ignorant of your superiority.

All will respect you then.

Why not volunteer to 'run' Asia by yourself and make the place better?

you really dont have to comment on every thread...

crikey, a simple mis-communication over a 30 baht cup of coffee gets you so het up you have to post here.

the vendor is not stupid. you didnt not make your requirements clear. its you who does not speak the language here. the work for milk is 'nom', the word for no 'mai'. not difficult.

or you could point at the milk and say 'no'.

for the stupid party in this exchange i suggest a quick look in the mirror.

and for your own well being you need to calm down, or as they say here, 'jai yen yen'.

Hey, be careful there - you could be telling the waitress that she has no breasts cheesy.gif

She probably got upset when you said mai mee nom.

i actually pointed at the milk and sayed may - ohh (phonetical thai)

she nodded and then forgot the request 5 seconds later.

I’ve run across things like this a lot here. I find it happens just as much when a Thai person tells them they don’t want something.

Troll rant
