CORPSE FOUND: Iranian may have overdosed

BANGKOK: The body of an Iranian man was found yesterday after neighbours complained of a foul smell from his Bangkok apartment, police said.

Mehdi Farhaki Khodarahm, 41, appeared to have been dead for a few days as his body had started to decompose.

A search of the premises in Bang Khunthien district turned up no signs of a struggle, and he was dressed only in shorts, but near the body were 10 methamphetamine tablets, said Major Sermsak Sinthusek, an investigator of the Tha Kham police.

Police suspected the man had overdosed and sent his remains to Siriraj Hospital for an autopsy.
