Job finished how to notify end of visa/permit?

As my current contract is about to end, my visa and work permit will end earlier than the date on them.

So - how do I inform immigration? - is there a document? or is this the responsibility of my employer? how do I check this?

I want to leave the country and come back either with an "O" or to begin with a tourist visa

You go to the department of labor, cancel your work permit. Leave the country the same day and get a new visa.

You need a letter from your employer to cancel your extension of stay. It needs to have a date stating the date your employment ends. If you go on that date you have to leave the country on that date or apply for a 7 day extension. You can do it a day or two early to give yourself a chance to leave.

You or your employer can cancel your work permit by submitting a work permit cancellation form.
