end of visa B single entry, which solution to stay ?

Featured Replies

Hi

After 6 month of work (and only 3 month since I received my work permit). my employer fired me with no reason (they do not have money anymore to pay an expat).

My single entry visa b expire this week . I had one tourist visa before my visa B.

Can i get out and re-entry ? can i apply for an extension at immigration office ?or can I apply for a touristic visa ?

I am panicking cause three days ago everything looked fine and now i don't know how i can stay in thailand (even for one month, with enough time to clear all my contract and organize myself)

Could you please help me ?

You cannot obtain any visa in Thailand .

You must leave when the "B" visa expires although it is possible to obtain a 7 day extension at immigration.(1900 Bht)

You can apply for any visa you may qualify for at a Thai Embassy/Consulate in a nearby country.

You are going to have to leave the country on or before the 'admitted until' date of the stamp in your passport. A short extension is possible, but from your post I doubt 7 days would be much use to you.

Yes you can exit Thailand, turn around and re-enter on a visa exempt entry that will give you 15 or 30 days depending on your citizenship and entry point. This can be extended for a further 30 days within Thailand at an immigration office. Giving you about 2 months.
Or you can (recommended) obtain another Tourist Visa (TR) from a neighbouring country. Having one previous TR isn't a problem.
A single entry TR will give you 60 days which can be extended for another 30 days at immigration giving you about 3 months.
Double entry TR's are available from Laos that would give you up to 6 months. You'd be given 60 days on entry that can be extended for 30 days after which you have to exit the country and re-enter using the second entry. On the second entry you'll get another 60 days which can again be extended for 30 days.
