pgs
Could anyone tell me the times for the VIP buses leaving Morchit in the evening heading to Chaiyaphum? I am aware of one about 8pm, but how long to wait if that is missed? Nakonchai Air site is down... Thanks.

NiwPix
Sorry, can't help you with a bus schedule....but how about rephrasing your question? If you ask how much a Taxi from Morchit to Chaiyaphum costs, I am pretty sure you will get a bunch of replies as to why not just take a bus ( with a detailed time schedule, locations, where to eat before and after arriving, good places to stay, not to fall in love, don't buy a house etc etc etc ) Anyways, I hope someone is able to help you eventually. KhunBENQ
Nakhornchai Air was up this morning, but seems not to serve Chaiyaphum (they serve Khon Kaen as I know). A post from December 2014 about "Sun Bus" from Bangkok to Chaiyaphum. http://จองตั๋วรถทัวร์555.com/index.php?topic=10.0 Leaving from Mochit terminal 2 from 6 AM to midnight. Don't ask me why a "VIP 32" class bus is a 40 seater Information on "Sun Bus" website seems consistent with the above: http://จองตั๋วรถทัวร์24.com/%E0%B8%8B%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%AA-sunbus-%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B8%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%9E-%E0%B8%8A%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%A2%E0%B8%A0%E0%B8%B9%E0%B8%A1%E0%B8%B4/ Another company to Chaiyaphum which seems to leave at 21:00h. http://www.tcairbus.com/time/new They also have a real VIP (Luxury VIP). No idea at what times this is available.

pgs
Thank you She who demands obeyance had mentioned Sun Bus - but none of her family or friends could work out where in Chaiyaphum it stops. Apparently not either of the 2 usual terminals.
khwaibah
For NCA schedules on their web site it gives the departure city and the arrival city but not all the other stops, so you need to contact them to find out this information.

Apparently not either of the 2 usual terminals. Well sorry. I live 130 km from Chaiyaphum, so can not easily have a look The info from "cyberspace" does not allow for a mix-up. They clearly advise a bus service to Ch. They also advertise a real VIP 28 seater. What about giving the phone number to your family/friends and let them ask? They seem to have more than one stop in Ch. But here local knowledge is at and end ("office/station opposite Siam Commercial Bank", guess more than one in Ch.). Phone numbers from the site: http://จองตั๋วรถทัวร์24.com/%E0%B8%8B%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%9A%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%AA-sunbus-%E0%B8%81%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%B8%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%9E-%E0%B8%8A%E0%B8%B1%E0%B8%A2%E0%B8%A0%E0%B8%B9%E0%B8%A1%E0%B8%B4/ 044-838 008 044-800 440 044-890 535 044-840 804 (all Ch. fixed line)
pgs
Small update.. The SUN Bus ticket seller in Morchit is currently next to the food court entrance, the sign is on the side instead of the front where it would be easier to see. The VIP bus takes 4.5 hours because it doesn't stop at the fuel station/food outlet the others do for the 20-30 minute break. It does stop at the main district bus terminal in Chaiyaphum (baan kasour or something like that) For the bus I was on, each seat has a 10" TV - headphones are provided. I cant say they are the most comfortable of seats, but for a few hours they are OK. The fare seems to range from 285b to about 320b.

GinBoy2
I'm going to be a little outside the box here. Depends where in Chaiypahum you are. Are we talking province or city? Chaiyaphum runs almost up to Khon Kaen. I'm in that position and frankly flying to Khon Kaen is cheaper(almost), faster and a whole lot safer. With the stuffing about at the airport, then having to arrange transport from KK to the village, it's easier to go by bus. The buses seem to run every hour or 1/2 hour depending on the bus co, flights are less frequent. If I miss one bus, I can just get another with a reasonably short wait. Flights I may be waiting hours for. I also don't need to worry about bag weight on the bus, where it could be a problem on a domestic flight. For those interested, it seems Sunbus also stops at Rangsit/FuturePark on the way into Bangkok.
