grin
I'm looking for a low end Asus Wifi router like an NT-16 or thereabouts. I've looked in the usual places but could have easily missed what I was looking for. Grin

lj cm
J.I.B. Computer, Pantip Plaza, 1. floor has a good selection of Asus Routers. I recently bought a Asus RT-N18U there.

The problem is dealing with end of life issues and security licenses for VPN. For my needs here I might need more than the security license like software and subscription licenses. For the simple situations these routers are great.
Chicog
Why Asus??? Cisco, the grandaddy of networking is cheap as chips. They weren't the grandpa of Wifi, they bought their way in and they are no way the best on the market.

Well, apparently not much. I really don't like when 'commercial' and 'consumer' grades gets blurred. Luckily Cisco sold Linksys off to Belkin in 2013. FYI, a router like this is exactly what I am looking for. I was in JIB last week and they didn't have anything like this at the time. It is good to know something like this may be available in town. I'll be checking back with them.
grin
LinkSys routers and military intelligence are great examples of oxymora. When speaking of Cisco routers, LinkSys would be the last thing on my mind.

grin
I went back to JIB and ordered the Asus RT-N18U. It will only take 2 days to arrive from Bangkok. 3190 Baht seemed like a good price. Has anyone tried the Dual WAN feature? It will be interesting to see what throughput it gets in load balancing mode. It would be nice if the Asus firmware works well and I don't have to deal with flashing the router. Grin
