car720
Ah, superstition!!!!!!! You've got to love it The same way we love Christianity and Islam and Buddhism etc..etc.... Personally, I think a major earthquake would be good for tourism in Thailand. Everyone would go back to being really poor and farang would go back to being the same as God again ergo more of them would come to Thailand and everyone would be happy again. Ah, the good old days. gregk0543
This is the headline I want to see: END OF WORLD DELAYED AGAIN DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES In an exclusive interview with God I put the question to him as to why he is unable to keep his word and end the world as promised by several prophets. He explained that due to budget constraints and lack of people in heaven he was unable to complete the task on time or budget. He continued to assert that it will happen and asked all concerned parties to be patient while he looks into the matter.
The Deerhunter
Why is the email subject "Thai govt asks astrologers for earthquake predictions" when the headline is actually the exact opposite? You noticed that too, Huh? Shitty alignment of the e-alert-journalism? The twelve previous posters did not comment. (or more likely came directly into TVF News and did not come in via the email alert link.) TWELVE previous posters???????? that makes you poster #13 unless you can persuade them to make you poster 12a or miss 13 out & move everyone up one place to make you #14. You need to do one of thee things to avoid bad luck. Oh well, just stay in Thailand until 12th July and you will have enough bad luck. PS Would moving to Malaysia, Cambodia etc until 12 July keep us all safe?

FangFerang
According to the USGS, a high number of aftershocks can indicate a potentially powerful earthquake will soon follow, and there have more than dozens. How random is that? Either the guessers on the sides of superstition and reason coincidentally reached the same conclusion, or Thai astrologers read science news....nah, must be coincidence.... Nick167
I do not believe in all this astrologer/fortune tellers garbage but there seems to be lots of so-called professionals in various media saying that a big one ie a big earthquake is eminent soon and that scares me a bit. On the other side, they keep on saying that the local authorities are quipped to deal with a big disaster....love to see a big one happenning then in thailand to see what happens. Plus being a "poor" "deprived" and envious guy living in a safe one storey suburds, love to see disaster come in the rich areas like silom, sathorn, saladaeng, ploenchit, langsuan, chidlom, lower sukhumvit etc. Hopefully it happens at night when the corrupted rich are sleeping in their beds! Lol!

Ergo ignorance must be prevalent in farangistan as well ?

Lol!" In reply to the above, let's be careful what we wish for. Karma is not restricted to actions, but includes thoughts, too. If some people need a quake as a learning experince, it will come of itself. Karma does not have to be viewed as apunishment, but as an opportunity to learn, and to change as needed. Wishing it on anyone attracts to the wisher what he wants for others. Maybe not too late to cancel that desire, and choose to offer loving kindness and compassion to all beings, interconnected as we are, lettting universal law assign whatever experiences wherever needed.
