Is there a place in Patts or anywhere that deals in Kindle books? share the cost of downloading Star books wherever that is perhaps

Not interested in fiction /novels,but factual Martin Middlebrook etc is possible to extract DRM and is that source I'm looking for,but wary if.Kindle themselves take a hand

Bought another e reader from Alibaba to keep official and unofficial apart.

For interest Calibre do free eBooks that cost a packet too from E publishers as well as daily newspapers

Is there a place in Patts or anywhere that deals in Kindle books?

Presumably "Patts" means Pattaya.

Since Kindle books, whatever their source, can be downloaded off the Internet, why would you need some place to be located in Pattaya?

Calibre appears to operate within the law and, of course, there's Amazon and, more dubious in terms of copyright laws, the so called "file sharing" sources. None of them is located in Pattaya, but why would they need to be.

Please ensure that discussion of illegal activity is kept off the forum. By all means discuss legal acquisition of e-books, however. These forum rules apply

3) You will not post about activities or links to websites containing such material that are illegal in Thailand. This includes but is not limited to: gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing, file sharing of pirated material, pyramid schemes, etc. Discussion of the above is permitted only as news items, but never as a "how to" topic.

4) You will not not discuss methods of bypassing blocking of websites, or circumventing any censorship of the internet or other communications by lawful authorities.

You can download a legal plug-in for Calibre that will take DRM off only the books that you legally purchase (then you have the license). The purpose of the plug-in is not to allow you to engage in illegal activities. The purpose is to allow you to use your legally purchased books on multiple devices. For example, if you purchase an Amazon book for you Kindle, it will not work on your Chinese device. By legally stripping DRM with the plug-in, you can legally convert the file type and read the book on your Chinese device. Just Google Calibre and DRM.

This plug-in will not strip DRM from books to which you do not hold the license.

free-ebooks.net.

I took out a life membership when they were on special for just $20 (normally $70 from memory). Gives me unlimited downloads free for life direct to my Kindle account. Otherwise you can have 5 free downloads per week. Nothing illegal.
