There is something on the Forum about how to work the quote box.

Ah, the handy "multiquote addition" button...

As I understand it, if you want to reply to more than one users' posts, click on the "+ QUOTE" button of the posts you want to quote (so that they go red and say "- QUOTE"), then click on "ADD REPLY" right at the bottom of the page and voila, you have the reply box with all of those multiple quotes ready to reply to.

Alternatively, if you just click on "REPLY" next to someone's post, you just get the one post to reply to.

Make of that what you will!

If i click on the quote for the last post and then reply. I get this!. Its not that difficult. Give it a go.

Not necessary to select the Quote for including the quote in the post being responded to, just the Reply button. However if you want to include quotes from several posters in the same topic, you select the Quote button for each of the posters you want quoted then hit the AddReply. If you notice in my example you have several separated quotes from different replies, this makes it easy to add individual comments to several posters in the same topic.

I suspect the OP was just wanting to include the standard quote though (single) rather then the multiquote mode I detailed.

PS. I never new what that Quote button did either until I researched it, rather interesting feature. :o

you guys got it.

Then also, on the actual posting html editor, you can also quote ie: from sources, or whatever.

Highlight the text you want to quote, and click the little speech bubbble on the editor.

That explains some posts I see with multiple quotes in them but without the poster name/date. Just when I thought I knew it all. :o

I was wondering how to get this to work. This is why I read this forum. :D

Don't forget the all important "preview Post" button next to the "add Reply" button. It can save a lot of grief.
