Help will be given to Muslim doctors from abroad who want to work in the deep south

The Public Health Ministry will help Muslim doctors who graduated from abroad get medical licences and jobs in the three southern border provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.

The Deputy Minister of Public Health, Mr. Anuthin Charnweerakul (อนุทิน ชาญวีระกุล), said training and tutoring services will be provided to help those doctors in their tests for medical licences. He added that this is a way to solve the shortage of doctors in the deep South.

Mr. Anuthin said Muslim doctors should help bridge the gap between Muslim patients and medical personnel caused by differences in languages and cultures.
