Well i got to go check again on Tuesday if my Non Imm O gets approved, got 1 still under consideration stamp, has anyone had their 1 year extension approved recently?

I am guessing I will get another "still under consideration" stamp with everything that is going on, haven't had a police visit yet to the house either.

What do you reckon the chances are?

Does it really matter. Its the general process while Immigration check everything. 2 x Under Consideration is normal, and don't be too angry if you get a third one. The only inconvienance is you have to go to Immigration every 30 days.

I am not sure if we also saw signs of more "strictness" or just ran into an unhappy official, but we ended up wasting an extra morning doing my application for 1-year extension. She sent us away yesterday without accepting the application because she didn't think we had sufficient documentation of my tax payments (for supporting Thai wife "in the case of working"), as she seemed to interpret their list of required tax documents, which says "or" in English (and in Thai according to my wife), as if it said "and". :o

So, heads up to anybody applying soon. Bring a surplus of documents, even the ones you never thought you needed for your specific case before...

Very sound advice. They always seem to think os something you haven't given them, just to make life difficult :o

My first application 10 years ago had '3 under considerations' applied to it. But on the bright side, I've never known anyone refused once the process is under way.....or maybe other's know different ?

Well Today was the day, and what a surprise - Approved!

Only one "still under consideration stamp", with all the stuff about new rules and how things are getting tighter, i thought at least one more 30 day stamp would come.

Congrats,

I had my 1st 30 day wait stamp, 30 days ago. Today I went and it's not finished and they gave me

15 day wait stamp. How long was your total time? 60 days?

We are all in suspense until we get it. They all know me, are very helpful and polite and as I live on a small island with it's own immigration office, 5 minutes away - No big deal :o

My "under consideration" was 4x extended last year. From july to finally in december. And it went "quicker" because I went to complain in my village at the police-station after the second extension, why the check took so long...
