tefljames
I'm a Brit living in Thailand receiving a UK state pension as a single man, if I was to get married to a Thai and she had my baby would my pension go up or down. Thank you for any constructive advice James Link to comment
gerry123
i think it will not move either way unless of course you have not informed the ministry of your permanent out of the uk status if that is the case i dont think your marital status needs to be confirmed in the uk, as an official / legal marriage in Thailand is recognized by documentation anyway Link to comment
nong38
If you have already informed the DWP of your present whereabouts, your pension will have been frozen, informing them your marital status has changed is not going to change anything, if on the other hand you have not informed them that you are now an expat living in Thailand they will probably take not of the new position and freeze your state pensionso you then not get any further annual increases then you will a notice the difference. Ricardo
I'm fairly certain that you (or your wife) would only get Child Benefit for the baby, if actually resident in the UK ? Link to comment
